And just like that, summer is over.
Conditioned possibly from those back to school years, September always seems like the time to try something new. You won’t believe this . . . . . .
Hold on.
Given many (most) New Year’s resolutions are forgotten before the Super Bowl, I’ll keep you in suspense a bit while I test my resolve.
In the meantime, two quick updates:
Early in July, I wrote about a client group getting a 39% premium increase October
1st. (Tip # 685 HERE.) We explored every possible option; e.g. captives, and dropping coverage altogether in favor of the Individual Market (ICHRAs), which BTW cost more even
before January 1 increases of 15% on average.
After some minor changes to plan design, which remarkably actually reduced employees’ OOP, we’re staying with the incumbent carrier with ‘only’ a 31% increase.
In a May Tip (# 678 HERE), you learned that ‘Grace’ had submitted a claim - with over 150 pages of documentation - to her cancer Insurer. So far, she’s only received a letter confirming her submission.
What a Quack of Shit!
Oh, and Go Brewers.
(Maybe my ‘big reveal’ when we win The World Series!)
