You saw the headline this week; “Kohl’s Seeks to Hire 5,000 Associates.” That’s on top of “Help Wanted” signs everywhere you look.
How will you compete for – and retain – good employees?
According to Employee Benefit News, these four benefits could help:
- Flexible Work Schedules. 68% of employers want workers in the office at least three days per week.* However, they’re swapping cubicles and commutes for a more flexible, hybrid approach.
- Tech Tools. With more remote work comes a greater reliance on technology. Ramped up cybersecurity and video conferencing maximizes productivity.
- Mental health support. Employers offering (low cost) telehealth and EAP options will have an edge, given that so many employees have struggled with mental health issues during Covid.
- Child and Elder Care Support. Moms provide the majority of child and elder care. It’s no surprise then, that as workers return to the office, mothers are more likely than fathers and women without kids to stay out of work. Yet, just 16% of employers plan to tailor their
benefits through additional flex time and PTO.*
