Sunday night I asked how could a health insurance premium for a family of five be just $404.21/month.
Bill said, “Huge co-pays and mammoth deductible.” Nope. The ACA sets a limit on maximum out of pocket, so even bronze plans are very expensive.
Mark said, “A Christian Ministry Plan.” Good guess, but not the answer. BTW, since those aren’t insurance contracts, we don’t sell them in our office.
Ted said, “Sounds like an accident / indemnity policy . . . . but I bet the web site had lots of pretty people on it who were smiling.” Wrong again and those cost even less.
The first person to reply also had the correct answer; “Short-term being marketed as major medical/ACA compliant.” No surprise, Lisa. You wrote the book! (I promised a prize. Is a plug OK?)
While not exactly Jeopardy, thanks to Bill, Mark, Ted and Lisa for being ‘contestants.’
