Last week’s Tip included a link to the Milliman Medical Index, which made headlines. I think it’s worth looking again at Figure 10 illustrating the inexorable upward trend of employees’ share of health care costs.
That trend is even worse in the individual market created by The Affordable Care Act.
With that as a backdrop, let me comment one more time about The Rauser Agency merging with Robertson Ryan & Associates.
In offering
congratulations, many of you have asked if this is a precursor to retirement; i.e., am I throwing in the towel before the government takes over health care?
C’mon, man!
We’ve been “reforming” health care one group (person) at a time since 1981.This is a marathon, not a sprint.
Or, to reword a quote from the legendary Wisconsin hockey coach Bob Johnson, “It’s a great day for
health care!”
Oh, and by the way. I actually support the idea of expanding Medicare (Part C) to individuals under age 65 who don’t get coverage through an employer.
More on that soon.
