But then there was this news in Monday’s headlines: the cost of healthcare for a typical family of four has reached $28,166 in 2018. Of that figure, $15,788 (56% of the total) is employer premium, $7,674 (27%) employee premiums and $4,704 (17%) employee out of pocket expenses.
