It’s another Holiday weekend; lots of football to watch and food to eat. We’ll probably have a glass or two of champagne; here’s to a safe celebration!
With so many distractions, I’ll cheat this weekend and recycle a Tip from a year ago. The circumstances are the same; i.e. many of you have changed insurance plans for January 1 but are still waiting for confirmation of coverage. So, what do you do? Tip # 247 here should help.
The start of a new year also means your calendar year deductible probably re-sets, even if your policy renewed as recently as December 1st. I say probably
because
- some insurers offer deductibles that are in sync with the policy renewal year
- some (not many!) group plans have a provision that deductible charges incurred in the 4th quarter carry over to the new year.
That’s
it for this week. Cheers for a Happy, Healthy and Prosperous 2017 . . . . and Packer/Badger wins!
