For literally decades, experts have told us health care inflation is “unsustainable.”
Apparently, they’ve somehow just been wrong!
OK. Let’s say we’re on an inevitable path to enacting a Single Payer – National – Health Plan.
But when?
Consider.
Social Security was ‘born’ in 1935; during FDR’ s administration, on 8/14/’35 to be precise.
Thirty years later, Medicare was ‘born’ under LBJ, on 7/30/’65.
Fifty years after that, Obama ‘delivered’ The Affordable Care Act on March 23, 2010.
Hey, that’s today. (Like I didn’t know.) HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
If this quinquennial progression (Linear? I should really stick to history) is any kind of predictor, that means the next major reform won’t happen until 2095.
Sorry, Bernie. Neither one of us will 'sustain' that wait.
