Getting on a plane tomorrow for one of my ‘Mastermind’ Summits. (Well actually, it’s in Napa, but Bacharach & David struggled with that lyric!)
These are regular meetings of Agency Owners from different markets around the country. The premise is – since we’re not competitors – we can openly share best practices in the
financing and delivery of health care. I’m proud to have been a Charter Member.
Our group consists of forty some really bright, successful - and mostly much younger (and brighter) - Broker/Consultants, intent on lowering costs while increasing quality.
Our discussions consistently focus on self-funding, transparency, individual responsibility, Direct Primary Care
and Centers of Value. We’ve been at it for about 15 years.
Which coincidentally (or not) is about when John Torinus wrote The Company That Solved Health Care (Serigraph, in West Bend), a book which uses those same themes to lay out a detailed plan for a business owner to set them in motion.
The irony?
Health
care costs in S.E. Wisconsin continue to be amongst the highest in the country.
So, John (Regina, Et al.). I know you read these. Please explain why that’s so in another book. OK?
Our group will eagerly convene in Milwaukee when you’re ready.
