ONE STEP CLOSER
If you’re paying attention (Tip # 621, Et al.), you know we’re hoping to unveil a service that would help you find the right health care when you’re really sick.
Moving closer to an unveiling, there’s a couple of (largely mental) concerns to navigate.
First, these Tips have always been solely educational, steering clear of selling, or mentioning health care goods, services, insurers, and products by name.
Would you indulge (pay for) an exception to that ‘rule’ for a service that might save your life? (How much?) What if we made it free to the first 100 Tips ‘Subscribers’ who express interest? (Hint: RSVP.)
My second concern has to deal with a good friend’s 10 week episode of care over the summer. Had
it not been for the advocacy of not one but two daughters - both RNs - and an MD for a SIL, complications from surgery and multiple infections might have taken his life.
In a perfect world, bad outcomes would be mitigated by getting to the ‘best’ provider at the onset
of an illness.
To wit, the Lewis and Clark Expedition probably would have failed without Sacagawea.
But, did she guarantee a Northwest Passage?!!
