CAN I BUY A VOWEL, PLEASE?
Of possible interest; check out some of the drugs - followed by their Good Rx cost - advertised during prime time:
Skyrizi; $18,478. Kisqali; $16,907. Opzelura; $1,938 (per tube). Jardianz; (just) $578. Ingrezza, Dupixent & Otezla; literally, off the charts!
(Whoever names these meds must be a whiz at Scrabble!)
Rhetorical question; why don’t they advertise Bayer aspirin anymore? (Hint: Not because of a paucity of consonants!)
Here’s something less snarky to consider.
Are any/all/some/none of these drugs on your health insurer’s formulary? Even if they are covered, I’d wager most are Tier 3 or 4. Locate that information on your Insurer’s Member Portal.
BTW, when given a prescription by your Doctor, do you ask about lower cost substitutes? Anticipating his/her answer, do you then ask your Pharmacist for a second opinion? (Cynic Alert: ‘cause the latter’s boat payments tend to be smaller!)
Being pro-active saves you money and in the aggregate – assuming omnipresent (i.e., 100 MM Tips ‘Subscribers’) consumerism – lowers everyone’s premiums.
A beneficial ‘side-effect.’
Speaking of which - and less desirable - what’s with the apparently uncontrollable urge to grill hot dogs or dance in the middle of the street!
There must be a pill for that!
