'EASTBOUND AND DOWN'
To Nashville, that is, and a super informative health insurance Conference this week.
But after spending three days impersonating
Harry Houdini at LaGuardia last month, I drove.
That’s OK. Love road trips. (Remember Tip 568?)
And the country music passing through Kentucky was a treat!
Can I give George Strait a shout-out in a Tip? I mean, one time I mentioned a pharmaceutical company by name and – you guessed it – the next day I heard from their lawyers!
But I digress.
In between those tunes were commercials for faith based Christian Ministry cost sharing ‘health’
plans.
Ironically apropos The Bible Belt, mercifully those don’t seem to be airing locally.
Good. They’re junk!
Cost sharing is not the same as premiums, and faith based coverage is not an insurance policy.
Maybe they’re a good fit for ‘The Gambler’ (Kenny Rogers) or if you’re just plain ‘Crazy’ (Patsy Cline). But ‘When Lou’s Got the Flu’ (Roger Miller), stick with the BUCA(H)s or CGHC.
Besides, Cheeseheads (and Tips) readers know better.
‘Forever
and Ever, Amen.” (Randy Travis)
