QUIET QUITTERS BEWARE!
Labor shortage? Missing work ethic?
Maybe you’re just looking in the wrong places.
Once upon a time, there was a man named Keith, who had to sell his printing business for pennies on the dollar - taking
an early and imperfect ‘retirement’ - to care for an ailing wife. He also took odd jobs to make ends meet.
Delivered newspapers. Greeted at a Big Box. Humbling for some.
Not Keith!
One day ‘Big Box’ asked if he’d help out in the bakery department. His wife had died, so money wasn’t such an issue anymore. But Keith wanted to work and be with people. (What a concept!)
Now 80, he bakes cookies,
cookies and more cookies! Practically runs the bakery. Loves his work and never misses
a day.
Lest you miss the insurance connection (this is a Tip, after all), consider someone like Keith doesn’t need a health plan from his
employer. (“Frosting on the cake”, said the baker!)
Keith’s an inspiration and cheerfully (as always) agreed I could tell his ‘story.’
Next time the Quiet Quitters on your staff drive you bonkers, visit Meijer’s Grafton bakery and look for Keith.
Just don’t offer him a job.
He’s loyal, too!
