THIS WEEK IN HISTORY
This history major - which, according to Rich Meeusen, is the default prerequisite for flipping burgers and selling insurance - favors ‘news’ features that remind us of major events from the past.
Did you know for example, yesterday (8/6) was the date of the bombing of Hiroshima and, when Al Gore launched the World Wide Web?
Or, the date the Hatfield’s and McCoy’s ended their feud?
OK, that’s a ‘Whopper’ (pun intended), but just days ago – literally, this week in history – something happened those of us in the industry thought impossible.
UnitedHealthcare launched a new product called NEXUS; a tiered open access Accountable Care Organization with competing Health Systems Advocate Aurora, Froedtert (with the Medical College) AND
Children’s Hospital together as Tier 1 (preferred) providers.
Loyal Tips readers will note we rarely give a shout out to any one insurer or product. Give me a holler if you’re curious why this merits the
exception.
Speaking of ‘historical’ events, this week Monday Amy Stehr joined The
Rauser Agency (Robertson Ryan) Team. Experience ‘Rich’ in Employee Benefits and Human Resources Management, expect to hear from her soon.
