Medicare’s Annual Election Period (AEP) ends Tuesday (12/7).
Thanks in part to the glut of TV commercials (not gonna vent again), we’ve been busy answering questions, while signing folks up for new or first time coverage.
It’s all good. (When you stop calling, then we’ll really have something to complain about!)
Did you notice in those ads mention of the CMS Star Rating of
Advantage Plans?
Here’s something to remember.
If someone chose not to buy coverage at 65 - or slept through the AEP ads (lucky you, Mr. Van Winkle!) - not to worry. You can sign up for a Five Star Plan - if there is one in your area - on the first of any
month. (Mr. Shatner might have told you that if he was pitching such a plan.)
Another nugget.
Let’s say ‘Kirk’ convinced you to drop ‘traditional’ Medicare - paired with supplemental coverage - and enroll in one of the advertised Advantage Plans. Later, you have second thoughts.
Again, no worries. In most cases, you can return to your prior coverage any time during the first year, no questions asked.
OK. AEP is about done. So am I.
“Beam me up, Scotty.”
